Job Summary
A growing electrical construction services firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator for a direct hire opportunity within its Commercial Division. This is an excellent role for an experienced estimator who enjoys taking ownership of complex commercial electrical bids, partnering with leadership, and contributing directly to project success.

The role provides exposure to a variety of commercial projects, including office buildings, tenant improvements, warehouses, distribution centers, data centers, retail projects, and laboratory or technical facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Houston commercial construction market knowledge, the ability to independently manage estimates from takeoff through proposal submission, and the communication skills to collaborate effectively with project management, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects from initial takeoff through final proposal submission.
- Review plans, specifications, bid documents, addenda, and scope requirements to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, develop pricing, and evaluate labor, material, equipment, vendor, and subcontractor costs.
- Solicit, compare, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to support competitive bid strategies.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings, scope reviews, preconstruction discussions, and proposal reviews with internal leadership and project teams.
- Support negotiated work, design-build opportunities, budgeting, and conceptual estimating as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Base salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Total earnings potential: approximately $100,000 to $130,000, depending on performance.
