About the RoleOur organization’s Heart & Vascular Institute is looking for a full-time, general non-invasive cardiologist to join our growing team in 2026 or 2027. The selected candidate will receive a clinical academic appointment and will provide both inpatient and outpatient services at our UPMC Jameson and/or UPMC Horizon facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inpatient cardiology consultations
- Provide critical care services
- Analyze ECGs and interpret transthoracic echocardiograms
- Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
- Opportunity to engage in teaching
These responsibilities will be shared in a weekly rotation with fellow cardiologists, and weekend coverage will be on a 1:4 basis.
About the PracticeThe Heart & Vascular Institute at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon currently includes four full-time cardiologists (two interventionalists and two non-invasive cardiologists, with plans to expand to six). Additionally, there are ten APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. The practice also benefits from part-time services provided by four electrophysiologists (including a pacemaker clinic), a heart failure specialist, three vascular surgeons, one thoracic surgeon, and one cardiothoracic surgeon. The outpatient office in New Castle is located within UPMC Jameson and offers a full range of diagnostic services, including two catheterization labs. HVI Horizon-Greenville is situated within UPMC Horizon Greenville hospital, while HVI Horizon-Shenango is located across from UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley hospital.

Collaboration Between UPMC Horizon and UPMC JamesonUPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson are neighboring community teaching hospitals with a long-standing tradition of serving their communities for over a century.
