Overview:
\n Our well-established cardiology practice in Dallas, TX is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-acuity, evidence-based care alongside a respected multidisciplinary team. This role splits time between our Dallas and Rockwall locations and requires a genuine passion for cardiology along with flexibility for hospital rounding and call coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for acute cardiology patients, including complex and high-acuity presentations across all areas of cardiology practice \n
- Conduct morning hospital rounding for follow-up visits prior to clinic hours, and participate in a 1:4 call rotation \n
- Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and the care team \n
- Interpret and integrate diagnostic tests and imaging (e.g., ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac CT/MRI, laboratory results) into clinical decision-making \n
- Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including medication titration, procedural preparation and follow-up, and ongoing monitoring \n
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) \n
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications \n
- Coordinate transitions of care, including admissions, discharges, and follow-up planning, while traveling between the Dallas and Rockwall locations weekly \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited NP program, focused in Acute Care, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, or a related specialty \n
- Current Texas NP (APRN) licensure or eligibility; national ACNP or AGACNP certification preferred \n
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, or vascular surgery \n
- Proven proficiency interpreting diagnostic tests and cardiac imaging, with strong EHR documentation skills \n
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for cardiology, with the flexibility to manage a high-volume, fast-paced acute care environment, including rounding, call, and travel between locations \n
