Job Opportunity: Per-Diem Hospitalist Physician

Our organization is in search of a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a per-diem Hospitalist role at our facility in Syracuse, New York. Position Overview:

• Shifts available: 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, including weekdays and weekends.
• Responsible for delivering medical services to an average of 16-18 patients daily, within a closed ICU setting.
• Conduct daily rounds on all patients enrolled in the Hospitalist Program.
• Coordinate necessary follow-up care upon patient discharge.
• Perform history and physical examinations, documenting findings in our EPIC EMR system.
• Collaborate with consultants and Intensivists to manage medical crises or changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties.
• Work within a well-established medical center that provides extensive subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

• This position does not qualify for J1/H1B visa sponsorship.
• Must possess a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required.
• A valid medical license in New York State is necessary.
• Previous experience as a Hospitalist is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic hospital environment is crucial.

Recruitment Package:

• Compensation ranges from $180 to $210 per hour, depending on shift hours, holiday coverage, and other factors.
• The stated salary reflects the initial compensation range and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift pay, or other cash compensation applicable to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer.
