Job Description
Our organization is seeking applications for a faculty role in academic nuclear medicine. The Nuclear Medicine Division offers a comprehensive array of clinical and research activities, supported by cutting-edge facilities and a team of highly skilled faculty dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, education, and research opportunities. This division provides extensive diagnostic and radiopharmaceutical therapy services to five primary hospitals in Pittsburgh, including the Hillman Cancer Center, along with additional imaging services across the UPMC network.
Qualifications- MD degree or equivalent.
- Must be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Completion of a Nuclear Medicine fellowship as required for ABR eligibility/certification.
The selected candidate will engage in a combination of clinical, educational, and academic duties. We are particularly interested in candidates with a focus on academic and clinical nuclear medicine, especially those with expertise in PET CT and theranostics.

Our facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment, including the quadra@ whole body scanner and multiple PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners throughout the network. The division handles a significant volume of both oncologic and non-oncologic nuclear medicine imaging, neuroimaging, and PET CT imaging. Additionally, we provide a substantial amount of radionuclide therapies, including Pluvicto and Lutathera, as well as non-FDA approved therapies through clinical trials. We also offer dedicated didactic and clinical training to residents in our ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program and a specialized PET/CT fellowship.
