We are looking for a Senior CNC Machinist FULL TIME 40 hours; 7:00AM-3:30PM Shift M-F. The pay range we are offering is $40-55 per hour based on your experience, and knowledge.
Professional Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining operating, programming and set-up experience
· Strong observational, analytical, numerical reasoning skills
· Ability to manage many responsibilities and deliver a comprehensive solution
· Good verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background, criminal, and drug screening
Roles and Responsibilities
· Program, setup and operate CNC Machining Centers Mills/Lathes
· Optimize existing and future programs using in-house software
· Follow specifications and tooling instructions and apply knowledge of mills and lathes
· Read engineering drawings for specifications, including tolerances and dimensions and verify measurements with gauges and other measuring instruments.
· Perform machine set-up, observes operation, and inspects first article inspection and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications, using measuring instruments.
· Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within tolerances mark on the drawings
· Ability to operate multiple machining centers simultaneously on a routine basis
· Ensure that training is provided as identified from the skills assessment matrix to maintain maximum workforce flexibility.
· Train employees to ensure that each skill set has a minimum of two employees at the Level 3 proficiency on the skills matrix.
· Administer the Employee Reward Program on a quarterly basis.
· Monitor the actual performance to established methods at the end of each production run and adjust accordingly.
· Ensure that direct labor time is being tracked properly to each job.
· Direct the daily work of employees to ensure the completion of finished product.
· Ensure that the department has coverage to produce the scheduled assemblies and that the materials are available for tomorrow’s work and next week’s needs as well.
· Review with each team member the goals and objectives for each day for their specific tasks.
· Provide training for employees to increase their skills and knowledge to become more efficient and produce work to the quality standards of the company.
· Provide training on specific techniques to ensure that crew members are cross trained to perform all assembly duties.
