A growing distribution company is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee month end close, AR, and AP while partnering closely with leadership to drive process improvements, achieve company objectives, and improve financial performance.

This is a highly visible role for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving operational challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead month-end close and financial reporting activities
  • Manage and develop a team across Accounting, AP, AR, Collections, and Billing
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations
  • Improve billing accuracy, collections performance, and working capital
  • Partner with operations leaders to analyze results and improve profitability
  • Play a key role in a major billing system transformation and reporting modernization
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
  • Strong background in month-end close, financial analysis, and operational accounting
  • Experience leading accounting, billing, AR, or AP teams
  • Advanced Excel skills; Great Plains would be a plus
  • CPA or MBA preferred

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
