A nationally recognized litigation defense firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing San Diego office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney seeking significant responsibility, sophisticated litigation experience, and meaningful courtroom exposure.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced trial attorneys handling complex, high-exposure litigation matters while taking an active role in every stage of the litigation process. The firm offers a collaborative environment, hands-on mentorship, and the opportunity to gain substantial trial experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle.
Take and defend depositions.
Appear in state and federal courts for hearings and oral arguments.
Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, case evaluations, discovery, and other litigation documents.
Represent clients in complex litigation matters from inception through trial.
Work directly with insurance adjusters, in-house counsel, corporate clients, and other stakeholders.
Participate in trial preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom proceedings.
Travel as needed to handle litigation matters in various jurisdictions.
Maintain strong client relationships while providing strategic legal counsel.
Collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal support staff to achieve favorable outcomes.

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Bar admission and good standing.
Experience handling civil litigation matters.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
Deposition and courtroom experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple litigation matters while meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Experience handling insurance defense or complex civil litigation matters.
Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy experience.
Experience working directly with corporate clients, insurance carriers, and in-house counsel.
Willingness to travel as required for litigation matters.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
