Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor

Day to Day:

Looking for a candidate that will supervise and coordinate the daily operations of food services employees and the department for a healthcare facility in Birmingham, AL.

This person will be responsible for:

• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and proper handling and storing of foods and supplies.
• Supervises assigned employees to include scheduling, work allocation, training and evaluating.
• Supervises the preparation and delivery of food items.
• Reviews orders to ensure food meets prescribed standards for presentation, temperature and positioning.
• Ensures work area and equipment is clean according to established procedures.
• Arranges for the maintenance and care of equipment, supplies and materials, as needed.

Breakdown of Day to Day:

• Overseeing 75 employees on a shift
• Who is working that day
• cleaning and production duties
• monitoring break times
• input into performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• cross-trained - will eventually learn from of the house: Cash register, serving, cooking, etc.
