Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Drafter to join their team in Fairfield, Ohio. In this role, you will transform architectural concepts into precise production-ready shop drawings that serve as the blueprint for manufacturing high-quality retail signage, custom millwork, store fixtures, and architectural décor.

Position Summary:

• As a Production Drafter, you will create detailed shop drawings and technical documentation that drive the manufacturing process from concept through production. Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Project Management teams, you will ensure every drawing is accurate, manufacturable, and completed on schedule.

• Your attention to detail, technical drafting skills, and ability to solve design challenges will directly contribute to the successful delivery of custom retail environments and architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed AutoCAD shop drawings from architectural elevations, renderings, and field/site surveys.

• Develop production-ready drawings for:

• Retail signage

• Store fixtures

• Custom millwork

• Architectural décor

• Collaborate with Production Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to ensure drawings meet manufacturing requirements.

• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.

• Resolve design and production-related drafting issues while maintaining accurate technical documentation.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout each phase of production.

• Manage multiple drafting projects while consistently meeting production deadlines.

• Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation.

Requirements:

• AutoCAD Certification in Mechanical, Architectural, or Engineering Drafting.

• Strong proficiency using AutoCAD to produce detailed production and shop drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferences:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience with:

• Retail millwork

• Cabinetry drafting

• Construction drawings

• Store fixture design

• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
