Title: Senior Backend Integration Engineer
Location: Irving, TX- 100% onsite (preference first goes to local candidates, open to non-local candidates who can 100% relocate 2 weeks from offer and be onsite day 1 at their own cost)
Type: Contract
Hours: 8-5 M-F, 40 hour work days
Pay: range $80-81/hour on w2- no flex, exact rate
Length: 24 months- possibility to extend
Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

The main function of an specialty analyst/developer is to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs utilizing software packages considered. A typical specialty analyst/developer is responsible for designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
• Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
• Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance.
• Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
Seeking a Senior Backend / Integration Engineer to build platform integrations across NVIDIA, simulation systems, and digital twin environments.
Primary focus is backend microservices and API integration (Python preferred).
Full?stack experience (React/Angular) is a plus but not required.

Typical Task Breakdown
- Build backend microservice APIs (Python preferred) for simulation, NVIDIA, and Physical AI integrations
- Design REST, gRPC, and event-driven APIs for asset exchange and simulation workflows
- Develop integration adapters using AI coding Platforms & Spec Driven Development between cloud services and simulation / digital twin platforms
- Support simulation and digital twin asset exchange (OpenUSD/USD or similar formats)
- Implement asynchronous workflows (job orchestration, retries, idempotency, observability)
- Manage large artifact storage and lifecycle (metadata, versioning, retention, traceability)
- Define API, event, and data contracts for simulation and digital twin integrations
- Collaborate with NVIDIA, vendor partners, and internal platform teams on integration design and delivery
- Develop and maintain contract testing, integration testing, and automation frameworks
- Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational readiness
Interaction with Team
- Work closely with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Architects, and Platform Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Scrum Teams responsible for Mission Automation, Execution & Control, Simulation Results, and Geospatial/Safety Services
- Partner with NVIDIA and external vendor teams to define integration patterns and technical solutions
- Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, design discussions, and technical demos
- Support cross-team API, event contract, and integration alignment activities
