From our Preston headquarters, we help over 1,000 customers every month unlock financial freedom in later life and continue to grow year on year as one of the UK's largest lifetime mortgage lenders.We're looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join our team, where you'll play a key role in assessing applications, underwriting cases, and supporting responsible lending decisions.The RoleAs a Mortgage Underwriter, you'll be responsible for managing your own caseload from application through to offer stage, ensuring cases are assessed accurately and in line with lending policy and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesTo be responsible for the management of your caseloadTo liaise with solicitors, valuers, brokers and customers to secure documentation required to make responsible lending decisions.To keep fully up to date and conversant with lending criteria, products and special schemesTo develop and maintain business relationships with key partnersTo underwrite new business in line with more2life policiesWhat We're Looking ForExperience of working within the Financial Services industry and in particular in the secured residential lending arena.Possess a working knowledge of mortgage underwriting and lending criteriaOrganised and with good attention to detailCommitment to maintain accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring work is of the highest quality.First class communication skills, both written and verbal.Why Join More2Life?At More2Life, we're passionate about helping customers enjoy a better retirement.
