\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Metal Polisher / Linisher to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous metal finishing experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work within a busy fabrication environment.\n

\nAs a Metal Polisher / Linisher, you will be responsible for preparing, finishing and polishing fabricated metal components to a high cosmetic standard. You will work with a variety of metals, ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and quality requirements. The successful candidate will also be required to safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and finished products around the workshop.\n

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
\n - Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm
\n - Early finish every Friday
\n - Full-time hours

Duties Include\n

- Linishing and polishing fabricated metal components
\n - Removing weld marks, scratches and surface imperfections
\n - Achieving brushed, satin and mirror finishes where required
\n - Polishing aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel and other metals
\n - Grinding, fettling and deburring components
\n - Using belt linishers, polishing machines, angle grinders and other finishing equipment
\n - Loading, unloading and moving materials using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
\n - Transporting finished products safely within the workshop
\n - Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
\n - Working from engineering drawings and job specifications where required
\n - Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
\n - Following company health and safety procedures at all times
\n
\n

- Previous experience as a Metal Polisher, Linisher, Metal Finisher or Fettler
\n - Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium and other fabricated metals
\n -
A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is essential
\n - Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a manufacturing or engineering environment
\n - Competent using hand tools, power tools and polishing equipment
\n - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
\n - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n - Reliable, punctual and able to work to production deadlines
\n
