We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Operational Analysis & Data Science team as we go through our next phase of growth,
\nThe Role:
\nAs a Senior Data Science Consultant, your role will be crucial in delivering informed, client-focused decision support across a diverse range of industries, including the UK MOD. You'll participate in projects that demand a keen ability to assess, analyse, and meet client-specific needs.
\nYou willplay a major role in developing and implementing Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)solutions for our clients,along with providing key advice around innovation and new techniquesto stakeholders.You will be designing solutions for complex challenges and will integrate code with software engineers.
\nResponsibilities will include:
\nLeading and delivering technical consulting projects.
\nDeveloping and delivering AI / ML solutions using a range of techniques (ML, NLP, LLMs, etc.)to tackle real world problems, applyingtools and techniques,and developing novel approaches where required.
\nBuilding new relationships and maintainingcurrent customerrelationships.
\nExpertise Required:
\nWe are looking for a range of experience:
\nSeniorData Scientist: 5+ years experience, includingtaking AI/ML projects into production.
\nAbout You:
\nThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
\nEssential
\nAbility to understand,describeand applya range of data science techniquesto real world problems.
\nExperience in managing data and implementing data science processes.
\nExperience in translating customer requirements intotechnical requirements and development objectives.
\nPythonexpertisecovering standard data sciencelibraries (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, Scikit-learn,PyTorch, etc),web frameworks (Flask or FastAPI) and visualisation(Dash,Plotly,&Streamlit).
\nProficient inSQL.
\nWorking with unstructured data
\nBuilding customer and stakeholder relationships.
\nSupporting and leading authoring of technical reports and presenting to customers.
\nBe willing to travel across UK and comfortable to work away fromhomefor periods of time.
\nSoftware engineering principles, git, docker, TTD
\nDesirable:
\nExperienceworkingwithsecure,air-gapped systems
\nWed love you to bring a strong STEM / computing background.
\nKnowledge and understanding of UK Defence.
\nExperience in one or more of the following technical disciplines:
\nLLMs, RAG,Agentic AI(e.g. LangGraph).
\nComputer Vision.
\nAI for audio and speech.

\nCandidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
\nCandidates must be willing to undergo an internal baseline personnel security standard check prior to starting their employment with the company.
\nCandidates must be willing and eligible to complete a United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) security clearance application to the Security Check (SC) level upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC Clearance you will normally need at least 5 years' UK residency.
