Senior AIT On-Board Processor EngineerHarwell / Stevenage | HybridJoin an innovative space engineering organisation helping deliver next-generation satellite communications and payload technologies.We're looking for a Senior Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer to lead the integration and verification of advanced on-board processor hardware used in cutting-edge satellite payloads.This is an opportunity to work on complex spaceflight hardware from integration through qualification, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams on high-profile programmes.What you'll be doingLead AIT activities for on-board processor hardwareIntegrate digital payload equipment and supporting EGSEPerform functional, performance and interface verificationSupport thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC/EMI and environmental testingDevelop and maintain integration procedures and test documentationCommission and validate electrical ground support equipmentInvestigate non-conformances and support engineering reviewsMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadershipWhat we're looking forDegree in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace or similar Engineering disciplineExperience in Assembly, Integration & Test of complex electronic or space hardwareStrong understanding of digital electronics, FPGA systems and embedded hardwareHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and laboratory equipmentPython scripting experienceLinux and Windows experienceExcellent communication skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teamsDesirableSatellite payload experienceGEO, MEO or LEO programmesKa, Ku or X-band payloadsDigital transparent processorsSoftware-defined payloadsSpacecraft environmental testingIf you're passionate about space technology and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
