HGV2 Driver Team Leader - Bristol BS2 0UQWorking Hours 6am - 3pm - Monday to FridaySalary £34,784 per annum + overtime at time/halfWorking Hours 6am - 3pm - Monday to FridayPremier Paper Group are the UK's largest independent paper merchant and we are looking to recruit a proactive and reliable Driver Team Leader to support the day-to-day operation of our transport team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver who is ready to take on a supervisory role while remaining hands-on within the operation.As the Driver Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring our drivers are organised, supported, and ready to deliver excellent service each day. You will act as the first point of contact for operational issues each morning and work closely with management to keep the fleet running efficiently.Supervise and support the daily activities of the driving team.Conduct morning driver briefings and ensure all routes are adequately covered.Resolve operational issues, including vehicle, staffing, and route queries.Liaise with recruitment agencies to arrange additional driver cover when required.Once all drivers are on their way, you will then complete the shortest route and / or make same day deliveries, where you will be required to undertake your vehicle checks ahead of leaving the branch, provide efficient multidrop deliveries within your designated route (routes can vary sometimes although we like our drivers to build a rapport with customers so designated routes are preferrable) including assisting customers receiving goods when required, and to be the customer facing representative of the company, passing back any feedback from customers regarding possible discrepancies and/or future business opportunities.To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:Category C driving licence with Digi card and CPC (including ongoing training)Previous HGV multidrop delivery experienceExperience of using vehicle tail liftsAbility to work flexibly with varying routesKnowledge of using PDA would be considered advantageousAbility to undertake the physical manual nature of the roleWe offer the successful candidate:30 days holiday per year plus statutory bank holidaysContributory pension schemeRetail benefits schemeSalary sacrifice car scheme (subject to eligibility)Employee Assistance Programme providing 24/7 GP access via phone/video appointmentIf you are able to demonstrate the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.Premier Paper Group Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.TPBN1_UKTJ
