Science Teacher - Alternative Provision

Fylde AP & Education Services Ltd
Poulton-le-Fylde, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

About the Role

\n

We're looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join our alternative provision, working with young people who are educated outside of mainstream school. Our pupils include those with EHCPs, permanent exclusions, and SEMH needs, and many have experienced significant disruption to their education.

\n

This is a relationship-first role. You'll deliver engaging, accessible science teaching tailored to each pupil's level and needs — rebuilding confidence and re-engaging young people with learning, rather than working to rigid attainment targets. Sessions may be delivered on a small-group or one-to-one basis, at our dedicated setting, in community schools, or in home- or care-home-based placements.

\n

What You'll Do

\n
    \n
  • Plan and deliver science lessons adapted to individual starting points and abilities
  • \n
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who have complex needs and may face significant barriers to engaging with education
  • \n
  • Support pupils' engagement, confidence, and progress at their own pace
  • \n
  • Follow our safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe, supportive environment
  • \n
\n
