Youth Engagement OfficerLocation: Abergavenny, Abertillery & BlackwoodSalary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annumJob Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pmOur clientOur client is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Youth Engagement Officer to support the recruitment of young people onto the Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) Programme.This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by engaging with young people, schools, community groups, and local organisations to create pathways into education, training, and employment.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, engage, and recruit learners onto the JGW+ programme.Build relationships with schools, community organisations, and local networks.Promote training and employment opportunities through outreach and engagement activities.Generate learner referrals through networking, marketing, and community engagement.Develop and maintain partnerships to create opportunities for learners.Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth learner journey.RequirementsEssentialExperience working with young people or a genuine passion for supporting them.Strong knowledge of local communities and networks.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.Willingness to undergo a DBS check and EWC registration.DesirableExperience within post-16 education, training, employability, or youth-based organisations.Benefits30 days annual leave, increasing with service35-hour working weekHealthcare schemeProfit-sharing schemeLife insuranceRetail and gym discountsEmployee recognition awardsOngoing training and development opportunitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
