Pay: £900 - £1,500 per day

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time

Assignment Duration: Initial 12-week assignment, normally one day per week

Role Overview\n

Hands-on Fractional Finance Director needed to diagnose the finance position, install cash and control disciplines, create management reporting and lead recruitment/onboarding of a permanent Financial Controller. You must be willing to work on site in Drighlington during the diagnostic and key interviews.

Required Deliverables\n
    \n
  • Ten-day diagnostic of accounts, cash, tax, stock, payroll, systems, access and people, with ranked red-flag register.
  • \n
  • Daily cash visibility, weekly 13-week cash forecast and controlled supplier-payment process.
  • \n
  • Chart of accounts/reporting dimensions, month-end checklist, compliance calendar and approval matrix.
  • \n
  • First management pack covering P&L, balance sheet, cash, stock, product/channel margin, advertising, delivery and imports.
  • \n
  • Shopify-to-payment-provider-to-bank reconciliation design and treatment of refunds, fees, chargebacks and customer deposits.
  • \n
  • Manufacturing cost model and import landed-cost methodology, with clear data ownership.
  • \n
  • End-to-end Financial Controller recruitment: job design, sourcing brief, screening, technical case, interviews, recommendation and onboarding.
  • \n
  • Documented handover, six-month backlog and recommendation on whether monthly advisory support remains useful.
  • \n
Required Qualifications & Skills\n

  • Strong SME manufacturing, stock and product-costing experience
  • \n
  • Professionally qualified
  • \n
  • Hands-on enough to inspect transactions, reconciliations and factory data
  • \n
  • Independent and willing to challenge founders with evidence
  • \n
  • Able to explain finance in clear commercial language
  • \n
  • Comfortable creating practical spreadsheets and controls before recommending major systems
  • \n
  • Low ego, documented handover and no attempt to make Sonno dependent on indefinite support
  • \n
