\n\nJob Role & Key Responsibilities:\n

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join a busy manufacturing site operating on a fixed 4-on, 4-off shift pattern. You'll be responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently through planned preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
\n - \n
Complete welding and fabrication work as required.
\n - \n
Perform first-line fault finding on electrical issues where appropriate.
\n - \n
Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
\n - \n
Complete maintenance documentation, handover reports and work orders.
\n - \n
Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency and reduce costs.
\n - \n
Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Food Safety and quality standards.
\n - \n
Maintain high housekeeping standards within engineering workshops and production areas.
\n - \n
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment performance.
\n
\nThe Ideal Candidate will have:\n
\n

Experience in a mechanical maintenance engineering role within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or a similar industrial environment.
\n - \n
Strong fault-finding and repair skills on production machinery.
\n - \n
Welding and fabrication experience.
\n - \n
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
\n - \n
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
\n - \n
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
\n - \n
Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
\n
\nDesirable Skills:\n
\n
- \n
- \n
Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
\n - \n
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems or packaging machinery.
\n - \n
Basic electrical fault-finding experience.
\n - \n
Experience using a CMMS.
\n - \n
Previous experience within food manufacturing or other high-volume production environments.
