Cedar is currently partnered with a lower mid-market private equity-backed B2B SaaS business to secure an Interim Chief Executive Officer for a minimum 12-month mandate. The role offers the equivalent of £1,100 to £1,300 per day, together with a significant equity-equivalent completion and exit bonus. Hybrid working from Central London.

Our client is a profitable, lower mid-market B2B SaaS business backed by private equity and entering a pivotal stage of its investment lifecycle. Working alongside an established executive leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating commercial performance, delivering a value creation agenda and positioning the business for a successful exit.

The Role\n

As Interim CEO, you will:

• Lead the overall commercial and strategic direction of the business.
\n
• Reset and execute the commercial growth strategy.
\n
• Accelerate recurring revenue growth and improve revenue quality.
\n
• Optimise sales effectiveness, forecasting and go-to-market execution.
\n
• Improve customer retention, expansion, pipeline conversion and operational efficiency.
\n
• Build organisational accountability and execution discipline.
\n
• Partner closely with the Board and investors to deliver the value creation plan.
\n
• Lead exit planning and ensure the business is fully prepared for a successful transaction.
\n

Your Profile\n

You will ideally have:

• Previous CEO experience within a private equity-backed B2B SaaS or software business.
\n
• A strong commercial background with deep expertise across sales, revenue growth and go-to-market strategy.
\n
• Proven experience delivering commercial transformation and accelerating growth.
\n
• A track record of leading value creation programmes and successful exits.
\n
• Strong board and investor management experience.
\n
• A hands-on leadership style, combining strategic direction with operational execution.
\n
• Immediate or short notice availability.
\n
