As a Physical Therapist in this role, you’ll work closely with a supportive team and collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to provide individualized interventions and support for an elementary case load. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Connecticut
- Previous experience with pediatric and/or elementary school populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and family collaboration
- Excellent organizational abilities and a passion for supporting student growth and independence
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy goals tailored to students’ needs
- Perform assessments, write reports, and update progress in accordance with school standards
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success in and out of the classroom
- Provide training and guidance to staff, families, and caregivers as needed
- Ensure ongoing, accurate documentation to comply with school and regulatory requirements
