Multiple contract positions are available for Special Education Teachers at both the middle and high school level in a dynamic educational setting. These full-time roles begin August 24, 2026, and continue through June 10, 2027.
Openings include:
- 1 Middle School Special Education Teacher (Hours: 8:30AM–4PM or 8AM–3:15PM, 35 hours/week)
- 3 High School Special Education Teachers with concentrations needed in Science, Math, and Social Studies (Hours: 7:15AM–2:45PM, 35 hours/week)
Key qualifications:
- Valid, active certification or licensure is required according to caseload
- Bachelor’s degree necessary for emergency teaching permits
- Demonstrated mastery of subject matter and instructional skills
- Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Prior experience in schools; experience in urban settings especially valued
- Able to create effective lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Experience with differentiation and formative assessment in instruction
- Must be comfortable with district culture and location
- Capable of completing all required PA clearances
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Ability to work full time within specified hours—no schedule accommodations
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons to meet diverse learners’ needs
- Supporting students’ academic and behavioral development
- Collaborating with colleagues and providing feedback to families
- Utilizing classroom resources and assessments to inform instruction
