Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon

Our organization is in search of a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to become part of a well-established and expanding practice located along the coast in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Preferred Experience...we are looking for a candidate interested in both general and sports orthopaedics, particularly in a rapidly growing area recognized as one of the fastest expanding counties in the nation!

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Participating in an established and expanding sports program!

• Working alongside 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports Advanced Practice Provider (APP).

• Collaborating with a team that includes 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle specialist, 1 upper extremity surgeon, 1 spine surgeon, and a large group of Advanced Practice Providers.

• Engaging in both practice and operating room time! Access to growing operating rooms and a freestanding surgical center!

• Participating in emergency department call, which rotates among the surgeons.

• Being part of a team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers who assist with inpatient call rotation.

• Building relationships with local high schools and colleges.

• General orthopaedics experience is required.

• Experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Our facility, McLeod Health Seacoast, boasts over 200 active physicians across more than 32 medical specialties. McLeod Health Loris is a non-profit 50-bed hospital that specializes in general surgery, women’s services, emergency care, critical care, urology, and various therapies including physical, occupational, and speech. We are also expanding our Dialysis Access Center.

The Carolina Forest location will ensure the continuation of high-quality care, access to top physicians, enhanced specialty services, and significant investments in technology. This 43-acre campus will feature a seven-building complex offering a range of services. Additionally, a new $56 million, four-story state-of-the-art facility is projected to provide 48 beds, ensuring immediate care access for all patients. This facility is expected to be completed within the next two years, with an anticipated opening in 2026.
