Position Overview
Our organization is in search of a dynamic, collaborative, and visionary academic leader to take on the role of Chief of the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics & Gynecology (ASGOG). This position will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Key Responsibilities-
Leadership & Administration:
- Act as the academic and clinical leader for the ASGOG Division, overseeing strategic direction and operational management.
- Provide visionary leadership with a strong understanding of clinical, business, and marketing strategies to promote growth and service expansion.
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, and performance evaluation of faculty and advanced practice clinicians.
- Encourage a culture of excellence, professionalism, accountability, and collaboration across all clinical settings.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the Department's mission and values.
- Continuously monitor and adapt to national trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to keep the division innovative and competitive.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to ensure financial stability through effective resource allocation.

Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure high-quality clinical care across various settings, including ambulatory practices and inpatient units.
- Work with leaders in obstetrics, gynecology, and surgical services to enhance patient flow and clinical performance.
- Support the development and expansion of clinical operations and outreach initiatives in line with departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with specialty sections and subspecialty divisions to optimize care delivery.

Education & Mentorship:
- Guide faculty in educational leadership roles, including residency and clerkship directors.
- Foster an exceptional teaching environment for medical students, residents, and fellows, emphasizing best practices in education.
- Support faculty development in areas such as academic promotion and teaching excellence.
- Encourage the integration of innovative educational strategies and curricula.

Institutional & External Partnerships:
- Enhance relationships across various health and educational institutions.
- Provide strategic leadership for the growth of clinical operations and outreach programs in the region.
- Represent the division in institutional committees and national organizations.
- Act as an ambassador for the division and department in broader contexts.
- The largest division within the Department, encompassing a diverse range of specialists.
- Extensive clinical presence across various practice locations.
- Leadership in core services such as inpatient obstetrics and gynecologic surgery.
- Strong collaboration with residency and medical school programs.
- Active participation in quality and safety initiatives.
- Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Currently practicing and providing clinical care in the field.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
- Proven leadership experience in academic medicine and clinical program development.

- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and collaborative leadership.
- Evidence of individual scholarship and faculty mentorship.
