Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Auburn, KS, supporting student growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role spans from August 6, 2026, to May 26, 2027, providing services across elementary and/or middle school levels in multiple buildings. You'll make a direct impact on students' lives, collaborating with educators and families while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule—three days onsite and two days remote each week.
Qualifications & Licensure:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes is an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to travel between school buildings as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement occupational therapy plans for a diverse student caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success within educational settings
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and ensure compliance with IEP goals and state guidelines
- Perform and document Medicaid billing in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Adapt interventions to support students with a range of physical, sensory, or developmental needs
- Participate in team meetings, staff development, and program planning
