Job Description
An established retail pharmacy in Pine Grove, PA, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide per diem coverage on a temporary/PRN basis. This role offers immediate start opportunities and the chance for ongoing assignments beyond several weeks. Supported by pharmacy technicians, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment dispensing approximately 150–200 prescriptions daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and accurately dispense prescriptions in compliance with regulations
- Counsel patients on medication use and answer questions professionally
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage daily workflow efficiently
- Maintain adherence to all relevant pharmacy laws and safety standards
- Deliver courteous, patient-focused customer service at all times
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing
- Proven retail pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system preferred
- Strong reliability with immediate availability to start
