Special Education Teacher in Vaughn, MT

You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 12-16 students, primarily in a resource room setting, allowing for focused, individualized instruction. While most students thrive in this model, a few have higher-level needs and are supported by dedicated one-to-one paraprofessionals, ensuring that you can devote your expertise where it’s needed most. Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Montana Special Educator Certification
• Experience working with middle and/or high school populations preferred
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum in a resource room environment
• Create, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans as needed
• Maintain an organized, supportive classroom environment
• Address the needs of students with higher-level requirements, supported by paraprofessionals
