This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the entire academic year.
You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 12-16 students, primarily in a resource room setting, allowing for focused, individualized instruction. While most students thrive in this model, a few have higher-level needs and are supported by dedicated one-to-one paraprofessionals, ensuring that you can devote your expertise where it’s needed most. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Montana Special Educator Certification
- Experience working with middle and/or high school populations preferred
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Adaptability and creativity in instructional strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum in a resource room environment
- Create, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans as needed
- Maintain an organized, supportive classroom environment
- Address the needs of students with higher-level requirements, supported by paraprofessionals
