Job Opportunity: Pediatric Urology Surgeon

The Department of Urology at our organization is in search of a Pediatric Urology Surgeon who is either board-certified or board-eligible. This full-time faculty role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, contingent upon the candidate's experience and academic achievements. The position offers eligibility for both tenure and non-tenure tracks.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chair of Urology, this role presents a unique chance to contribute to and advance an academic Urology program in Illinois. The selected candidate will have privileges at both Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Hospital. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a medical practice
• Teaching medical students and residents
• Participating in clinical and/or basic science research

Applicants must have completed a residency in Urology along with a fellowship in Pediatric Urology. A valid Illinois medical license is a prerequisite for employment.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Board-eligible or board-certified in the U.S.
• Eligible for an Illinois medical license
• Successful completion of a Urology residency and Pediatric Urology fellowship
• Awareness of the needs of underrepresented minority populations

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is between $250,000 and $275,000, representing the academic base salary funded by the University. The final salary will be determined based on market data, internal equity, candidate qualifications, and budget considerations.
