Pediatric Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider

The Driscoll Health System is seeking a certified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our expanding Pediatric Neurosurgery team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established pediatric program offering advanced surgical care across South Texas.

Position Highlights:

\n
• Full-time position with a robust, multidisciplinary team
\n
• APP will provide comprehensive care to pediatric neurosurgery patients
\n
• On-the-job neurosurgery training provided pediatric experience not required
\n
• Opportunity to work alongside a tenured, fellowship-trained Pediatric Neurosurgeon
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Outpatient clinic coverage and inpatient rounding
\n
• Daytime call coverage for inpatient questions and ER/inpatient consults
\n
• Perform assessments, formulate diagnoses, implement treatment plans, and educate patients and families
\n
• Coordination of care across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings
\n
• Optional OR participation depending on experience and availability
\n

Schedule & Details:

\n
• Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
\n
• Travel: Required to satellite clinics (schedule varies based on location and provider availability)
\n
• Call: Not required at this time
\n
• OR Time: Optional based on training and scheduling
\n
• EMR: EPIC
\n
• Support: Dedicated RN and administrative staff
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
\n
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas
\n
• National certification as a PA or NP
\n
• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience preferred (in any surgical specialty)
\n
• Strong clinical skills with a passion for working with pediatric populations
\n
