Position Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is on the lookout for talented anesthesiologists across various specialties. Our attractive compensation and benefits package makes us a leading choice in the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse case mix, including general, minimally invasive, bariatric, orthopedic (trauma, spine, and joint replacement), thoracic, vascular, neurosurgical, ENT, hepatobiliary, urology, IVF, and GYN procedures.
  • Provide anesthesia services in non-OR settings, such as vascular and neuro interventional radiology, a busy heart and vascular lab, and GI services.
  • Join the obstetric anesthesia team in our Labor and Delivery unit, which handles approximately 5,000 deliveries annually.
  • Participate in rotations at our Ambulatory Surgery Center located on the Hahnemann Campus (featuring 9 ORs).
  • Supervise CRNAs within the anesthesia care team model.
  • Engage in the education of residents through a comprehensive training program.
  • Contribute to educational initiatives, medical simulation, quality improvement projects, and research.
  • Be part of a team that administers around 60,000 anesthetics each year across our Medical Center.
Qualifications
  • Possess an MD or DO degree and be eligible for a Massachusetts medical license.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology.
