What You'll Do
- Safely operate a tractor with a 53' trailer and occasionally a 26' box truck
- Transport materials and finished products on local delivery routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Verify shipping documents, delivery instructions, and load accuracy
- Secure cargo and ensure safe transportation
- Maintain driver logs, mileage, fuel receipts, and delivery paperwork
- Communicate any delays, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Obtain proof of delivery and customer signatures
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and report maintenance needs
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean or acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred
- Forklift, pallet jack, or liftgate experience is a plus
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
- Frequently enter and exit the truck safely
- Lift, push, pull, or carry materials as required
- Work in varying weather and customer-site conditions
- Monday - Friday
- 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Local routes - Home every night!
