Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience in a resource room or similar special education setting
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with general educators, families, and specialists

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and interventions in a resource room setting, adapting lessons to meet each student’s needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and support staff to foster inclusion and student success
• Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize learning outcomes
• Create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records, attend meetings, and participate in professional development as required
