Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Indiana
• Experience working with high school-aged students, preferably in a resource or inclusive classroom
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Compassion, flexibility, and a passion for helping learners with varied needs succeed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction to meet the unique educational needs of high school students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct support within resource classroom and, when appropriate, in general education settings to facilitate participation and achievement
• Employ a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies to engage and motivate students
• Collect data, track progress, and adjust instructional methods as needed for student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom climate where all students feel valued and supported
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff to support student success
