Position Details- Worker Type: Regular
- Role: RN - Pediatric
- Department: Med Surg - 4N
- Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, 36 Hours/Week (7 PM - 7 AM), every third weekend
- Sign-On Bonus: Discuss available options with your recruiter! Note that a two-year service commitment is required for external qualified candidates.
- Preferred Experience: Background in pediatric hematology/oncology is advantageous.
- Shift Differentials: Available for night and weekend shifts.
The RN will deliver direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and oversee patient care plans, ensuring accurate monitoring, recording, and communication of patient conditions.
- Act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in providing cohesive patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders as directed.
- Assess and manage the discharge planning needs of patients in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
- Regular verbal communication is essential for sharing information.
- Frequent standing and walking are required.
- Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
- Visual acuity for both near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.
- Frequent use of smell for odor detection and hearing for communication and alarms.
- Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs and moving patients.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical movements.
- Rarely required to crawl or run.
