Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience providing OT services in school settings
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop customized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Work directly with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and participation in classroom activities
- Document progress and adjust interventions to support student success
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize educational outcomes
- Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
- Provide ongoing support, resources, and training for school staff and families
