We are seeking passionate, skilled RNs or LPNs for one-to-one nursing assignments within elementary and special education settings. Assignment Highlights:

  • On-site, weekday schedule (Monday-Friday, minimum 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week)
  • Contract runs from late August through late May; initial one-month assignment with strong potential for extension to semester or school year based on needs
  • Each nurse is assigned to one student at a single school location (site determined by student needs and your experience)
  • Students range from early childhood to adolescence, each presenting unique medical needs, such as seizure disorders (RNS/VNS), G-tube and medication management, ambulatory and communication support, and personal care assistance
  • Locations include special education and elementary schools in the greater St. Louis area

Key Qualifications:

  • Active MO RN or LPN license required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Direct experience with G-tubes, seizure care, medication administration, personal care, and supporting students with mobility challenges
  • Familiarity with EMS protocols and bus ride supervision
  • Able to pass drug screen and fingerprint-based background check
  • Completion of Epilepsy and Seizure Disorder Training (provided)
  • Willingness to review key district policies and confirm understanding

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering individualized medical care and supporting students’ independence and participation in classroom activities
  • Coordinating with educators, therapists, and caregivers
  • Administering medications, managing feeding tubes, and providing seizure monitoring and intervention
  • Ensuring safe transportation and participation in daily school routines
