Make an impact by providing crucial speech and language support to students in an onsite, full-time role near Portland, OR. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to join a supportive school setting and help students reach their communication and academic potential.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active ASHA CCC credential required
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Oregon
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working onsite in a K-12 school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluate students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Deliver direct therapy interventions and consultative services, with a focus on students using AAC devices
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for effective learning strategies
  • Offer training and support in AAC to educators and family members as needed
