Overview

Position: Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Med Surg

Available Shifts: Days and Nights

Compensation: Up to $1,451 – $1,982 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $40.32 – $55.06 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director in managing daily operations, staffing, and workflow within the department.
  • Supervise, guide, and assess team members.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintain high standards of department operations and patient care.
  • Provide direct patient care as required within your scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient care plans and implement necessary modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Foster a safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care environment.
  • Oversee staff performance and unit operations during your assigned shift.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
  • Minimum of one year of charge nurse experience in a Med Surg setting required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
