Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse supporting elementary and middle school students in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time position, spanning from September 4th through June 25th, involves working closely with both students and staff to nurture a safe, healthy school community.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 35 hours each week
- 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM
- Elementary and middle school caseload
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey RN School Nurse licensure required
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based nursing setting
- Comfortable adapting to district protocols and guidelines
- Able to manage and oversee the health needs for entire school buildings
- Reliable transportation and proximity to the area are essential
- Willingness to complete onboarding: TB test, physical, and fingerprinting for both agency and district
- Please note: This position does not accept LPN candidates
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to students across elementary and middle school levels
- Triage daily health concerns and manage chronic health conditions
- Administer medications and first aid as needed
- Collaborate with faculty and families to promote student well-being
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district regulations
- Support district health initiatives and emergency preparedness
