Physical Therapist - School Setting in Grand Rapids, MN

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Physical Therapist in an itinerant role. This full-time position offers the chance to work with a diverse student population across multiple school sites, including Deer River, Coleraine, Nashwauk, Floodwood, Hill City, and Remer. Your expertise will help students access and thrive in their educational environment by delivering individualized, needs-based services.

This assignment is set to begin August 24, 2026, and will provide coverage for a medical leave expected to last between six to nine months. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 3:45pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license and credentials for work in schools
• Prior experience with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
• Ability to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple school sites
• Strong ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Comfortable servicing a moderate caseload of approximately 63 students

Responsibilities:

• Deliver PT services to students per their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and ongoing evaluations to ensure appropriate interventions
• Maintain required documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state policies
• Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support student needs
• Adapt activities and environments to promote student access and participation
• Travel between assigned school sites within the district as needed
