This vital role runs from August 26, 2026, through June 16, 2027, and is set in an inclusive, supportive school environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid DSE Severe licensure required
  • Experience working with children who have severe disabilities and complex medical needs preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum for unique learners
  • Comfortable providing instruction, care, and behavioral support for young students, ages PK-2nd Grade
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, therapists, families, and medical teams
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering growth and independence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specially designed instruction and interventions customized for students with significant cognitive and health-related needs
  • Develop and implement effective IEPs, tracking student progress and updating goals as needed
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, nurses, and families to provide holistic care and maximize student engagement
  • Support the physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, including assistance with medical protocols and mobility
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and celebrates each child's achievements
