Job Title: Family Medicine Physician

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within a Medical Treatment Facility
  • Facilitate patient access to medical services and appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers
  • Offer consultative opinions to fellow physicians and healthcare personnel
  • Supervise healthcare services provided by non-physicians
  • Maintain health and clinical records in compliance with current regulations and standards
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Experience can include both paid and unpaid roles, such as volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other community organizations. If qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required as part of the application process.

Basic Qualifications for Family Medicine Physician
  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or Canada. Degrees from foreign medical schools must demonstrate equivalency to U.S. accredited programs, validated by permanent certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted license as a Physician from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
  • Graduate Training: Candidates must have at least one year of supervised clinical experience, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an accredited institution.
  • Residency Training: Successful completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, along with equivalent experience totaling at least four years. Experience cannot substitute for the required residency training.
