We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated Physicians to become part of our Hematology/Oncology team in Grand Rapids. Opportunities are available to specialize in hematology or solid tumors, while also managing a comprehensive range of hematology/oncology patient care, which includes new patient referrals and ongoing treatment for established patients. Candidates will be expected to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for patients, families, and staff alike.
Opportunity Overview
- Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Location: Grand Rapids
- Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
- Comprehensive multidisciplinary oncology service line, featuring a growing team of hematologists and access to subspecialties such as Radiation Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Thoracic and Colorectal Surgery
- Extensive Cancer Network serving much of the West Michigan area and the Lake Michigan shoreline, bolstered by a strong primary care referral base and partnership with the University of Michigan
- Robust ancillary support and programs, including Advanced Practice Providers, Infusion Services, Care Management, Social Work, Nurse Navigation, Nurse Triage, Research, Clinical Trials, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Genetics, and Financial Counseling

Qualifications
- Completion of fellowship training is required
- Physicians: Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with a commitment to achieve board certification within five years of the Start Date (unless otherwise mandated by applicable medical staff by-laws)
- Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain one)
- DEA license required
- BLS certification (must be maintained)
Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Delivering direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
- Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting community health initiatives
