Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity to make an impact in the lives of K-12 students by providing dedicated occupational therapy services in a school-based environment. Beginning August 12th, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, you’ll work closely with students, teachers, and families to support academic and functional success as part of a collaborative team. With a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and a manageable weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, you’re set up for both professional fulfillment and a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
- Experience in a school-based setting and familiarity with K-12 caseloads is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other support staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering student progress in both academic and functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized plans for students.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and IEP team discussions.
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families as appropriate.
- Support inclusive practices within the school setting.
