Embark on a meaningful school-based opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with the option to gain experience across elementary, middle, and high school settings near Silver Spring, MD. This role is available for the 2026–2027 academic year, with a start date of August 10th, 2026, and an end date of June 9th, 2027. Multiple locations and flexible site combinations are available, offering versatility and the chance to tailor your full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

You’ll work with a variety of student populations, providing direct services, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. These school sites include several elementary and middle schools, as well as a potential split high school assignment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland SLP License (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or clinical fellows (CFY) considered
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Solid knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders among children and adolescents
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
  • Complete assessments to identify student needs and develop IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff for student success
  • Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Engage in multi-site assignments as required—schedule flexibility is needed
