Human Resources Specialist - Kearny Mesa, CA
A growing organization in Kearny Mesa is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join its collaborative HR team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle. The HR Specialist will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS administration, benefits support, compliance, and personnel record management.

Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating new hire onboarding
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within the HRIS system
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, employee changes, and responding to benefits-related questions
  • Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and workers' compensation documentation
  • Prepare HR reports, maintain personnel files, and ensure data accuracy
  • Provide administrative support for payroll by processing employee changes and auditing payroll data
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and HR programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Coordinate employee training, orientations, and engagement initiatives
  • Assist with performance management and annual HR programs
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, and reporting)
  • Experience using HRIS systems such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar platforms preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Assignment Details:
  • Contract to hire role
  • Onsite role
  • Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego
  • Compensation: $27.00-$30.00 per hour DOE
  • Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
