Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
  • Proven experience supporting children and adolescents in academic settings
  • Strong understanding of psychological testing, assessments, and data interpretation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
  • Experience writing comprehensive evaluation reports and recommending interventions
  • Knowledge of current educational laws and best practices related to special education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and behavioral assessments to identify students’ needs
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and recommend strategies
  • Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention when needed
  • Support the development of positive behavioral interventions and student advocacy
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
