Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school district at Charles City Elementary School in Charles City, Virginia. This is a full-time opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, working with a manageable caseload in a collaborative school environment.
Position Details
Location: Charles City Elementary School – Charles City, VA
Schedule: Full-time
Hours: 8:45 AM – 4:15 PM (37.5 hours/week)
School Year: 2026-2027

Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
Manage a caseload of up to 14 students
Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other collaborative team meetings
Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success
Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications
Active Virginia Special Education teaching license required
Previous school-based experience preferred, but qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
