Fresno is home to over 70 distinct ethnic groups, including a significant immigrant population, with more than 50% of residents identifying as Hispanic/Latino. Our department serves as a safety net provider for obstetric and gynecologic care in the Fresno area and surrounding counties, particularly for patients lacking insurance or access to providers. Our resident clinic operates within a federally qualified health center, where 80% of patients rely on state-funded insurance and 10% are uninsured.
